China Southern Adds 5th Boeing 777 Freighter to Expanding Cargo Fleet

GUANGZHOU, China - August 26, 2010 - China Southern Airlines, (NYSE:ZNH) (HKSE: 1055) (SHA: 600029) - www.csair.com/global - a member of SkyTeam and the largest airline in The People's Republic of China has taken delivery of its fifth Boeing 777-200F freighter - the second in two months.

With the addition of these new aircrafts, China Southern’s freighter fleet now stands at seven, including two Boeing 747-400F and five Boeing 777-200F dedicated freighters.

Thanks to the low operational cost and environmental protection performance of the Boeing freighters, China Southern has been making marked improvement to its competition advantage in the European and U.S. marketplace.

With this expanded freight capacity, China Southern Cargo plans to soon add another U.S. route between Shanghai (Pudong International Airport) and Los Angeles.

With this anticipated expansion, China Southern Cargo will offer customers three European destinations: Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Vienna … and two US destinations: Chicago and Los Angeles.
