Flight Attendants Exchanged between China Southern Airlines and Korean Air;
Stewardesses from Korean Air Set to Work in China Southern

GUANGZHOU, China-On 18th December, passengers were very curious about one stewardess in special uniform on the flight CZ337. Ms. LEE JIHYUN in blue suit uniform from Korea Air, together with China Southern’s in rosy uniforms, offered passengers high quality service with sweet smiles. At the same time, the beautiful stewardesses from China Southern in dark blue uniforms also appeared on the KE853 (Seoul-Beijing) and KE5815 (Seoul-Guangzhou) flights of Korean Air for the first time.

This was the ever first time for the stewardesses from both the worldwide known Korean Air and China Southern Airlines to be exchanged to serve the flights - a new initiative adopted by China Southern to offer customers higher quality service since the activities of “Premium Service Year” and “Three-Network Construction” launched in 2007. This is another important step forward for China Southern towards strategically internationalization.

In accordance with the agreement of exchanging stewardesses signed between China Southern Airlines and Korean Air, the first exchanging period will last for six months and focus on the flights between South Korea and mainland of China. The exchanged cabin attendants all assume the safety and service work in the Economic Class or act as observers in the advanced cabin. On one hand, the stewardesses from China Southern mainly serve Souel-Beijing, Souel-Guangzhou, Souel-Changsha flights operated by Korea Air. On the other hand, the stewardesses from Korean Air mainly serve Guangzhou-Souel flights by China Southern.

Currently, China Southern Airlines has selected 40 stewardesses to attend the safety and service differentiation training in Korean Air. They will be divided into six groups to join the Korean Air flights. The stewardesses from Korean Air including LEE JIHYUN attended the differentiation training in China Southern from 26 November to 6 December. Then they will join the China Southern flights in groups.

China Southern and Korea Air exchange stewardesses to learn the safety and service management experience from each other, and taste the cultural difference between China and South Korea to offer passengers elite service.

Since joining the SkyTeam, China Southern Airlines has been expediting the step towards its internationalization, marketization, network building and informationization to raise the service quality and brand image. China Southern will closely cooperate with all other SkyTeam member airlines in the aspects of sales and marketing, service improvement, brand promotion etc. It is estimated that China Southern will initiate more exchanges in cabin attendants to provide customers with more comfortable flight experience.
