China Southern & China Mobile Guangzhou Launch Mobile E-Boarding Pass

GUANGZHOU, China – April 10, 2007 - China Southern Airlines, (NYSE: ZNH, HKSE: 1055, SHA 600029) - www.csair.com/en - with the largest and most technically advanced aircraft fleet in The People's Republic of China is pleased to announce that together with China Mobile Guangzhou Branch it is launching a new Mobile E-Boarding Pass.

The Mobile E-Boarding Pass service – available now and only in Chinese - will be available at China Southern Airline’s worldwide hub at Baiyun International Airport in Guangzhou. All China Mobile Guangzhou Branches’ customers, who have purchased the carrier’s Guangzhou-outbound e-tickets to its any domestic destination (except for code-shared flights), can select their seats on China Southern and print out the boarding passes.

This new program marks the first time that a mainland Chinese carrier and mobile communication operator have offered a Mobile E-Boarding Pass service.

After the nearly two-month beta testing which began last February in Guangzhou, both China Southern Airlines and China Mobile Guangdong Branch have collected customer feedback in order to enhance the system’s testing, enabling the “Mobile E-Boarding Pass” to become more systematically stable.

Passengers need to log on the airline’s Chinese web site at www.csair.com to complete their e-ticket payment and select their seat. The system will prompt for two options (1) printing out the boarding pass or (2) electronically transmitting the boarding pass to the passenger’s China Mobile number.

Passengers who select to print out their boarding pass, can use any computer printer in their home or offices. If you don’t have a printer at hand, you may select Option 2 to transmit the boarding pass and within 60 seconds – your mobile phone will receive a two-dimension-code message. Passengers who arrive at the airport check-in counter, can put their stored two-dimension-code message from their mobile phone onto the scanner and the boarding pass will be printed out within five seconds.

• The “Mobile E-Boarding Pass” service is currently only available for those China Mobile Guangdong Branch’s customers who have bought China Southern Airlines’ Guangzhou-outbound domestic flight e-tickets.

• The service is free of charge to receive a two-dimension-code message via mobile phone through July 31, 2007.

• Passengers who have selected the Mobile E-Boarding Pass are requested to go to the C14 check-in counter at Guangzhou Baiyun Airport – scan their two dimension code and print out the boarding pass no later than 50 minutes prior to the flight departure - even if they don’t have any luggage to check in - as all flights will complete check in procedures 45 minutes prior to departure. If you have luggage to check in, you need to reach the airport no later than 60 minutes prior to the departure and proceed to check in at C5 or C6 counters after receiving the boarding pass.

• Passengers, when using the Mobile E-Boarding Pass, are required to input the same ID numbers, names and contact telephone numbers as when they purchased their e-tickets and then reconfirm the consensus of the names on the tickets and the IDs. For those Sky Pearl Club frequent flyer members, their ID numbers should be the same as the ones you registered in The Club to ensure successful mileage accumulation.

• Those passengers, who have already completed normal check-in procedures, will not be able to check in again via the Mobile E-Boarding Pass.

• The practical use terms for the Mobile E-Boarding Pass service are subject to the published ones available on the carrier’s Chinese web site at www.csair.com .

• For additional information, passengers are kindly requested to telephone the China Southern Airlines service hotline at 020-95539 or log on the CZ web site: http://www.csair.com.
