Name One Of The Top 100 Logistic entrepreneurs of China
BEIJING, November 21, 2004 - China Southern Airlines (NYSE: ZNH, HKSE:
1055, SHA 600029) - www.csair.com/en - the largest airline in The People¡¯s
Republic of China has been is named one of the Top 100 logistics entrepreneurs
of China and the #1 airline in the air transportation category.
This award program was organized by the China Air Transport Association,
the Railroad Department of the PRC; the China Freight Forwarders Association;
China Shipping Agency Association; China Ship-owners Association; China
Association of Port-of-Entry; China Ports and Harbors Association and
the China Customs Brokers Association.
Competitors also included China Southern Cargo, COSCO Logistics and
China Railway Express. The review was based on five criteria: Logistics
Business Net Income; Logistics Entrepreneur Network System; Logistics
IT System; Logistics Service Quality Assurance System and Logistics
Entrepreneur Management Team Structure.
¡°This honor reflects the rapid development of China Southern Cargo
in the past three years. Ever since the establishment of our Cargo Department
in November, 2001, China Southern Cargo has won numerous accolades and

China Southern Airlines was honored for its introduction of two 747-400F
freighters, the opening of its Shenzhen-Chicago, Pudong-Amsterdam, Pudong-Liege
cargo flight routes; providing safe and secure cargo services to customers
throughout its dozen subsidiary branch companies, 35 domestic offices
and 25 overseas offices as well as the internal development and execution
of the Internet-based, TANG cargo system.
With the addition of the new Baiyun International Airport Cargo Station
- opened August 5 of this year - first phase cargo volume is expected
to reach 800,000 tons per year with future handling volume expected
to reach 2.5 Million tons.
¡°China Southern has played a leading role in Chinese cargo in the past
three years and we are actively planning the construction of either
new or expanded cargo bases in Guangzhou, Shanghai and Shenzhen,¡± added
Mr. Li.
