China Southern Ringing Up Boffo Internet Ticket Sales; Nation¡¯s 1st Internet-Savvy Airline Now Passing RMB 2 Billion In Annual Sales

BEIJING - November 25, 2004 - China Southern Airlines (NYSE: ZNH, HKSE: 1055, SHA 600029) - www.csair.com/en - the largest airline in The People¡¯s Republic of China is pleased to announce that has now surpassed RMB 2 Billion ($241 Million US) in annual Internet ticket sales.

We have set a goal to reach RMB3 Billion by the end of this year.¡±

China Southern Airlines is currently only e-ticketing on its Chinese web site at www.csair.com.

Mr. Li noted some of the recent accomplishments of China Southern Airlines¡¯ e-ticketing include major airport e-ticket check-in counters throughout China, including the airline completely renovated and ¡°like new terminal at Beijing¡¯s Capitol Airport.¡±

China Southern has also launched an all-new online hotel reservation system service which is designed to combine air ticket booking functions ... and ¡°will be China Southern¡¯s new secret weapon to compete in the aviation e-ticketing marketplace,¡± said Mr. Li.

He added that, ¡°the system is available to complete information inquiries and live reservation operations and currentlly offers reservations for more than 2,100 hotels in more than 200 major cities throughout China.¡±
