China Southern Airlines Inks New FFP Pact With Air France;
Passengers Can Now Earn/Burn Miles On Air France/China Southern Flights

PARIS ¨C November 16, 2004 - China Southern Airlines (NYSE: ZNH, HKSE: 1055, SHA 600029) - www.csair.com/en - the largest airline in The People¡¯s Republic of China is pleased to announce a brand-new frequent flyer pact with Air France.

¡°This new partnership with Air France further enhances the attractiveness of the Sky Pearl Club program with hundreds of new destinations available including Berlin, London, Madrid, Paris and Vienna ¡­ offering more travel choices to Sky Pearl Club members,¡± said Mr. Li Kun, Vice President, China Southern Airlines.

The Sky Pearl Club is China¡¯s largest frequent flyer program with more than 2.5 Million members. More than 700 people join The Sky Pearl Club every day.

Effective immediately, Sky Pearl Club members can take advantage of earning and burning miles on all AF flights* as well as any CZ flights. Air France flights are defined as all flights with designated ¡°AF¡± code and operated by Air France. Paris-China routes (PAR-BJS, PAR-SHA, PAR-CAN, PAR-HKG) are excluded for accrual.

Earning mileage on Air France flights:

First Class (P, F) Statute Kilometers ¡Á 150%
Business Class (J, C, D, I, Z) Statute Kilometers ¡Á 125%
Economy Class (Y, B, K, H, T, V, L, M, S,
Q, U, W, E, R) Statute Kilometers ¡Á 100%

Sky Pearl Club members who choose to redeem an award on an Air France flight need to contact China Southern¡¯s Customer Call Center via its International office at (8620) 8668-2000 or domestically at 020-950-333.

To collect a free award ticket, you can visit any of the following China Southern Domestic Ticket Offices: Beijing, Changsha, Dalian, Guangzhou, Guilin, Haerbin, Haikou, Kunming, Shanghai, Shantou, Shenyang, Shenzhen, Urumqi, Wuhan, Xiamen, Zhengzhou, Zhuhai or any China Southern International Ticket Office.

Note:

a) Mileage accrued on qualifying Air France flights can be counted towards Sky Pearl Club elite status levels.

b) Please present your Sky Pearl Club membership card upon reservation, ticketing or check-in at the airport.

c) Keep all boarding passes, copies of used Air France tickets for possible mileage retro claims until the appropriate mileage appears on your Sky Pearl Club Mileage statement.
