China Southern Northern Company Takes Delivery Of New Airbus Aircraft; Three Brand New A319 Aircraft Join The China Southern Fleet

SHENYANG, China - June 15, 2004 - China Southern Airlines (NYSE: ZNH) (HKSE: 1055), www.csair.com/en, the largest airline in The People¡¯s Republic of China is pleased to announce that China Southern Airlines Northern Company (a fully owned subsidiary of China Southern Air Holding Company) has taken delivery of three new Airbus A319 aircraft.

The two new A319 aircraft are part of a total order of 16 new Airbus aircraft previously placed by China Northern Airlines, prior to that airline¡¯s merger with China Southern Air Holding Company.

A total of four A319 aircraft are slated for delivery in 2004; five in 2005; three in 2006 and 4 in 2007.

Mr. Zhou Yongqian, Vice President, China Southern Air Holding Company and President, China Southern Airlines Northern Company was the delegation leader for the first two A319 deliveries. Mr. Wang Peifu, Vice President, China Southern Airlines Northern Company, joined the third delivery team to officially receive the third aircraft.
