China Southern Opens New Paris Sales/Marketing Office; China¡¯s Largest Airline Launching New Paris/Guangzhou Service June 28

GUANGZHOU, China - June 9, 2004 - China Southern Airlines (NYSE: ZNH) (HKSE: 1055), www.csair.com/en, the largest airline in The People¡¯s Republic of China is pleased to announce that it has opened its new Paris sales/marketing office in preparation of launching its new Paris-Guangzhou direct service on June 28.

Located at 125, Avenue des Champs Elys¨¦es, 75008 Paris, China Southern Airlines¡¯ new local reservation numbers are (33) 820-886-688 and (33) 1-53-679-999 and fax (33) 1-49-520-606. The new China Southern Airlines¡¯ Paris office is in a prime location above Citibank on the Champs Elys¨¦es and less than 100m from the l'Arc de Triomphe.

The office¡¯s new General Manager is Mr. Wang Weibin with Mr. Chai Haibo, Deputy General Manager and Mr. Pierre Stephane Austi, Commercial Director.

China Southern Airlines will be launching its new direct Paris-Guangzhou service under a code share with Air France, four times weekly (1,3,4,6) with flight numbers CZ347/348.The new Boeing 777 summer 2004 schedule has a 14:30 departure from Guangzhou and 21:20 arrival in Paris the same day. Flights departing from Paris¡¯ Charles de Gaulle Airport leave at 22:50 and arrive in Guangzhou at 16:20 (+1).

China Southern Airlines and a branch of Air France-Servair have signed a catering contract for all departing flights from Paris.
