TAKES DELIVERY OF 15TH NEW 737 NEXT GENERATION AIRCRAFT; WUHAN, China - May 31, 2004 - China Southern Airlines (NYSE: ZNH) (HKSE: 1055), the largest airline in The People¡¯s Republic of China, is pleased to announce that it has taken delivery of its second Boeing 737-700 series aircraft for its expanding operations in Hubei Province. The delivery of this new 737-700 aircraft is not from a new order ¡ but part of China Southern¡¯s original order of 20 Boeing 737-800 aircraft and is #15 in the total delivery. China¡¯s largest airline elected to accept the initial 12 aircraft in the 737-800 Next Generation series, with the balance of the delivery order to be taken in the 737-700 Next Generation series.
